Joydeep Hor is the founder and managing principal of People + Culture Strategies (PCS). PCS is regarded as one of Australia’s most innovative professional services firms, servicing employers of all sizes and across all industries, operating purely in labour and employment law and strategy.

Career

Joydeep started his career at a global firm, before moving to a specialist labour and employment firm where he was made an equity partner at 28 and was also elected Managing Partner from 2005 until 2010. In 2010, Joydeep founded a ground-breaking practice in global workplace law, PCS.

Over the course of his career, Joydeep has authored books, appears on Australian television as a leading commentator and is a highly regarded keynote speaker at national and international events. Joydeep had the pleasure of speaking at the 2024 International Employment Lawyer Global Employment Summit in New York, 2024 International Forum of Senior Executive Advisors in London, 2024 International Forum on Employment Law in Evian, 2024 American Bar Association Discrimination and Equality Conference in Boston, 2024 International Employment Lawyer Asia-Pacific Conference in Singapore and at the 2024 Sport NSW annual conference.

Professional Memberships

In 2016, Joydeep graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner-President Management Program and remains the only Australian lawyer to have completed this program. He has also been a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute for over two decades

Joydeep has authored over 10 books in his career and regularly contributes to international publications as an expert on Australian workplace and industrial law and practice.

Personal

Joydeep is solely responsible for the journey of PCS into one of Australia’s most philanthropic organisations. Under his leadership, PCS has become the Official People Partner of every major sporting organisation in New South Wales. Joydeep is also the Chair of Darlinghurst Theatre Company and as an investor, he has co-produced several musicals and sponsored many production shows.
