José Miguel Mayayo advises on corporate and commercial transactions, M&A, real estate and administrative law. His transactional practice covers acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, investment agreements, corporate restructurings, commercial contracts and real estate deals, frequently involving cross-border coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
He has particular experience advising private equity funds on portfolio acquisitions, add-ons and exits, as well as mid-market companies and their shareholders on sale processes, management buyouts and investor entry transactions. His real estate practice includes commercial acquisitions, development projects and complex urban planning matters.
José Miguel holds a Law degree from the University of Zaragoza, a Master’s degree in Business Legal Advising from the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid), and a Master’s degree in Public Law from the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). He is a member of the Administrative Law section of the Real Colegio de Abogados de Zaragoza and has served as an advisor and drafter of projects for various laws presented to the Cortes de Aragón (Parliament of the Autonomous Community of Aragón).
Before founding Tribeca in 2005, Mayayo practised at Garrigues in Barcelona and Zaragoza, where he headed the administrative and real estate department.
