I am a criminal defense attorney advising executives, boards of directors, and companies facing offenses that threaten their peace of mind, reputation, and operational continuity. My practice focuses on fraud, money laundering, corruption, extortion, accidents involving potential criminal liability, and compliance system failures.
I work closely with CEOs, CFOs, General Counsel, compliance officers, law firms without criminal practice areas, and mid-sized companies exposed to criminal risk in environmental, tax, labor, and industrial safety matters. My objective is clear — to reduce criminal exposure, secure favorable settlement agreements, obtain dismissals of investigations, and build robust crime prevention frameworks.
After more than twenty years in criminal law — including experience at one of the country’s most recognized firms — I founded MC2.Legal to provide a more agile, personalized, and strategically focused defense. My training in the Mexican Army shaped my professional approach, instilling discipline, composure under pressure, and decisive action in complex scenarios.
I have represented companies in sectors such as energy, mining, steel, automotive, financial services, logistics, and food industries, helping them navigate critical situations with speed, clarity, and strong business judgment. I offer a criminal defense practice that combines technical rigor, direct communication, and a human-centered approach.
Based in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, I operate nationwide through a trusted network of correspondent attorneys across Mexico.
If you are seeking strategic and reliable criminal defense, let’s connect to assess your risks and define the next steps.
My professional career began in 2001 when I joined the criminal law division at Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C. as an intern, later becoming an Associate Attorney in 2003. In 2011, I took responsibility for criminal litigation at the Monterrey office, and in 2016 became a Partner. In late 2022, I founded MC2.Legal, S.C. with the objective of providing more tailored criminal law services specifically designed to address the individual requirements of each client.
As a litigator I have been the author in the creation of several strategies to defend the interests of multiple companies that are listed in the Fortune 500 index.
