Jorge Mayora is the co-head of Allende and Brea’s banking and financial practice. He has advised financial institutions in complex and sophisticated financing and derivative transactions, structured and other commercial lending transactions and other various collateral structures. He also represented international banks and investment funds in acquisitions and investments in local companies in Argentina. His practice includes regulatory advise on supervisory rules, capital requirements and trade and foreign exchange regulations. He has been involved in local and international offerings in multiple jurisdictions and in the formation, structuring and negotiation of investments in funds and private companies.
He joined Allende & Brea in 1997. During 2007 and 2008, he worked as an International Associate at the New York office of Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett LLP. He has been a partner at Allende & Brea since 2011.
He obtained his law degree from Universidad Católica Argentina in 1999. He studied general corporate and securities law at the Law School and finance at Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University (LL.M., 2003).
