Jorge is an associate at the firm with over 11 years of experience, focusing his practice on foreign investment, corporate law and the mining sector. He regularly advises domestic and international companies on their operations in Mexico, including corporate governance, shareholder matters, corporate reorganizations, mergers and spin-offs, capital increases and reductions, and the structuring of corporate groups and holding companies.

Jorge has significant experience advising mining companies with operations and investments in Mexico and abroad. His practice encompasses corporate restructurings and reorganizations involving Mexican and international subsidiaries, as well as M&A transactions in the mining sector. He has extensive experience conducting mining due diligence and advising clients on the acquisition and divestment of mining projects through asset and share transactions.

He also advises on the negotiation and drafting of mining-related agreements, including royalty, exploration and joint venture agreements, as well as financing arrangements for the development of mining projects. His experience further includes advising mining companies in connection with IPOs and capital markets transactions in Mexico, the United States, Canada and Germany.

On the regulatory side, Jorge advises clients on matters involving mining concessions and their registration before the relevant Mexican authorities, as well as regulatory requirements involving SEDENA, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA and other authorities relevant to the development and operation of mining projects.
