Joongwon Park is Counsel (New York) in the Corporate Department at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett’s Hong Kong office. He started his career in the Firm’s New York office and relocated to Hong Kong, after also having spent several years in Seoul. He has broad experience across various corporate and finance matters with a focus on capital markets transactions representing issuers and underwriters on registered and unregistered debt and equity securities offerings, IPOs, Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings and private placements. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, including complex buyouts and minority investments. He has represented private equity and strategic clients in various acquisitions and investments in China, Korea, Southeast Asia and the United States.
