Practice Areas

Jonathan is a specialist extradition barrister, acting on behalf of requested persons and foreign requesting states. He regularly appears at the High Court and Westminster Magistrates’ Court, and is also instructed to draft outgoing extradition requests.

Jonathan has been involved in numerous complex cases and has had success in cases involving human rights and technical challenges. He has a busy appellate practice and has appeared before the Divisional Court and Supreme Court. He has made representations on behalf of requested persons to the UK authorities on the transfer of sentences to the UK.

He has experience in Mutual Legal Assistance and the European Investigation Order.
