Jon represents a diverse client base of large corporations, small businesses, corporate fiduciaries, entrepreneurs, charitable institutions, farmers and ranchers, and families across a multitude of industries including insurance, aviation, manufacturing, construction, agribusiness, fintech, private equity, hospitality and healthcare. His practice focuses on federal tax planning, business succession, estate planning, nonprofit governance and charitable giving, probate and trust administration, business entity structuring, employee benefits and executive compensation, and aircraft purchases, sales and leasing arrangements.

Jon is the President of McGrath North, the former chair of McGrath North’s Tax and Estate Planning Practice Group, a member of the firm’s Board of Directors, and has previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Creighton University School of Law. Jon has earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation from The American College of Financial Services and has been recognized by Best Lawyers® and Super Lawyers®. Jon was also recognized for Private Wealth Law by Chambers High Net Worth Guide for Tax Law by Chambers USA and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). As part of his community involvement, Jon serves on the Board of Directors for the Omaha Community Foundation and on the Dean's Advisory Board for the University of Nebraska College of Law.
