Jonathan has more than 25 years of qualified experience specialising in inheritance tax and trust planning for clientele throughout the South West and beyond, advising them on planning for retirement and business succession.
He acts as a deputy of the Court of Protection and is a trusted advisor for a number of clients, acting as their attorney and managing their property and finances.
An expert in this field, Jonathan regularly deals with complex estate administration including business, agricultural and national heritage assets.
Jonathan also has expertise in contentious trust and estate matters having been involved in litigation regarding deceased’s partnership assets, conflicts between beneficiaries, litigation regarding the management of trust assets and trustees’ actions, amongst others.

Professional Memberships
Jonathan is a member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners and the Law Society Probate Section.
He is also a trustee of numerous private trusts and sit on the boards of several local charities and not for profit organisations which represent the interests of local businesses on Dartmoor, such as the Dartmoor Wood Fuel Co-operative.
