Jon is well known as an art and cultural property specialist. He advises on litigation and dispute resolution involving art and the art market, as well as on agreements and collaborations involving artists and their estates, galleries, collectors, auction houses, art professionals, new platforms and institutions.

In 2025 Jon has acted for artists and galleries in some of the most high-profile new gallery representation arrangements in the art world, as well as securing an $8million refund for a collector who had been mis-sold a contemporary work. In 2023, the case Jon led successfully for Yilin Wang against the British Museum was one of the most widely-reported art and cultural property cases of the year.
