Practice Areas
John focuses his practice on complex construction, energy, and commercial litigation. He represents owners, developers, EPC contractors, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in disputes arising from major industrial and commercial projects. Mr. Miller also advises clients during the contracting phase, including dispute avoidance strategies, claim preparation, and payment and lien matters.
His representative matters reflect the breadth and complexity of his practice: he served as counsel for the owner of a 9,000-acre wind farm in Pennsylvania where combined claims exceeded $75 million; represented a design professional in an AAA arbitration involving multimillion-dollar breach of contract and professional negligence claims arising from a polymer chemical plant in Ohio; and represented the owner of a wine glass bottle manufacturing facility—home to the world’s largest electric melter—in construction and design defect claims following a catastrophic equipment failure. John handles matters in federal court, state court, and arbitration.
