Career
John is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and advises on the full spectrum of data protection issues, including transparency and consent requirements, data subject rights, international data transfers, age appropriate design, one-stop-shop strategy and cookies and similar technologies. He has assisted clients in investigations before the UK ICO, the Irish DPC and the French CNIL.
John has a strong interest in the advertising ecosystem and regularly works with advertisers, publishers and intermediaries on AdTech issues. He also has experience advising on the interplay between data protection law and related areas, like consumer protection and content moderation, as well as the data protection implications of legislative proposals such as the EU's Digital Services Act and Data Act.
John advises clients in a range of sectors, with a particular focus on digital media.
