John Barnosky is a trusts and estates lawyer advising families, individuals, banks, foundations, and other institutions. Jack handles the full range of estate planning, probate and administration, as well as taxation matters. John also represents clients in litigated trusts and estates matters, including will contests, disputes over the validity of trusts, contested accounting proceedings, and tax disputes before the Surrogate’s Courts and other courts throughout New York.
A longtime leader in his field, Jack is a frequent lecturer at New York State Bar Association seminars on trusts and estates topics. He is also a contributor to Farrell Fritz’s New York Trusts & Estates Litigation blog and has published articles in the New York Law Journal, The Nassau Lawyer, and the Journal of the Suffolk Academy of Law. Jack is a co-author of the treatise, “Revocable Trusts,” published by Thomson West, and has written sections of Warren’s Heaton on Surrogate’s Court Practice. Jack is also a former adjunct law professor at Touro Law School.
