Jocelyn Tsao

Jocelyn is the managing director of our Hong Kong office and a partner who leads the Hong Kong divorce and family team.

She has been involved in some of the most high-profile cases to come before the courts in Hong Kong as part of a team involving high net worth individuals with diverse and complex issues.

Jocelyn is passionate about cases involving children’s interests, custody, care and control, and has successfully dealt with a number of child relocation cases, with expertise on Hague Convention cases involving international child abduction before the High Court. Furthermore, Jocelyn works pro bono on cases involving LGBTQ rights and has been interviewed and written articles to share her insights into the challenges faced by the LGBTQ community from a family law angle, such as for same-sex partners in Hong Kong who are seeking to become parents, as well as significant court rulings that shed light on the future of LGBTQ rights in Hong Kong.

Jocelyn is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in Doyle’s Hong Kong Family & Divorce Lawyers Ranking from 2020-2023, and as a Leading Lawyer in 2024 and 2025.
