Joaquín has primarily focused Dispute Resolutions in Ecuador and internationally since 2005. He primarily represents banks and companies in the commercial, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

He completed his law degree at the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil and later earned a Business Administration for Lawyers degree from the Central American Institute of Business Administration (INCAE) in Costa Rica.

For several years, he has served as a mediator for the Center for Mediation and Arbitration at the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce and as an arbitrator for the Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo. He is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
