Member of the Executive Committee of Global Insurance Law Connect – GILC (the worldwide network of law firms specialized in insurance), since 2023.

Partner in charge of the Insurance, Reinsurance, Private Pension and Supplementary Health areas at Demarest Advogados – 2007 to 2015.

Director and Deputy Superintendent of the Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) – the Brazilian insurance and reinsurance supervision and regulation body, where he led the first phase of implementation of the regulatory standards of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors – IAIS, the regulation of the Civil Code of 2002 and the opening of the Brazilian reinsurance market, with the publication of Complementary Law No. 126/2007 – 2003 to 2007.

Full member of COREMEC – Committee for the Regulation and Supervision of the Financial, Capital, Insurance, Pension and Capitalization Markets, composed of the Central Bank of Brazil, the Securities and Exchange Commission (CMV), the Superintendence of Private Insurance and the National Superintendence of Supplementary Pensions – 2006 to 2007.

Partner at Pellon e Associados Advocacia – 2001 to 2003.

Visiting attorney at the insurance area of Lebouf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae L.L.P., at New York – 1997.
