Joan Bellefield Davis

Represents designers, models, agencies, authors, musicians, entrepreneurs, and established brands in domestic and international trademark matters, publishing and licensing agreements, model and agency contracts, brand collaborations, and manufacturing and distribution agreements.

Joan Bellefield Davis is a fashion, intellectual property, and entertainment lawyer licensed in Virginia and New York. Joan was the first American lawyer to earn an LL.M. in Fashion Law from Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. She has taught and spoken on fashion law in the United States, Europe, Africa and China. Earlier in her career, she served as law clerk to Chief Justice Harry L. Carrico of the Supreme Court of Virginia.
