Jim Durham

Mr. Durham is one of the most well-respected trial lawyers in the state of Georgia, stemming from the many complex federal criminal trials he led over more than a decade with the Department of Justice and continuing with his defense of a wide array of sophisticated clients in major fraud cases following his return to private practice. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a former Criminal Chief, First Assistant, and acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia. He received the “Director’s Award” – the highest award conferred upon federal prosecutors – three separate times for cases involving public corruption, fraud, and money laundering schemes.

In recognition of his distinguished service as a federal prosecutor, Mr. Durham was honored in 2023 with the William H. Webster Profiles in Leadership Award, a prestigious national award that seeks to recognize those who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in government service.

In 2023, Mr. Durham has represented a senior White House official, the CEO of a national company that manages long-term care facilities accused of $10 million+ in tax fraud, and the COO of a national company engaged in providing hospitality workers to numerous hotels and other facilities accused of immigration-related violations, among many other high-profile matters.
