Jill is an appellate lawyer who is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has served as counsel of record in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the Supreme Court of Texas and intermediate courts of appeals throughout Texas. She has won local and state-wide awards for her advocacy. Jill was recently named the 2021-2022 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston by the Houston Young Lawyers Association and the 2021-2022 Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas by the Texas Young Lawyers Association.
Before joining Daniels & Tredennick, Jill spent more than half a decade in public service as a judicial law clerk on two different appellate courts. She is involved in numerous community and bar activities. She has served as Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s Appellate Section and as Editor-in-Chief of the Appellate Lawyer. Jill contributes to the continuing legal education of appellate lawyers by speaking and writing about a variety of different appellate topics. This past year, she has authored multiple articles on Texas rules of civil procedure and presented continuing legal education courses on the rules of civil procedure in multiple cities across Texas.
Jill earned her law degree cum laude from Duke University School of Law where she served as the Research Editor for the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy. Before law school, she graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis where she earned the Helen Stenner Memorial Prize for her writing in philosophy.

Intertek USA, Inc. v. Trical Commercial Inv., LLC, No. 14-23-00475-CV, 2025 WL 2496264 (Tex. App.—Houston [14th Dist.] Aug. 29, 2025) (mem. op.), successfully defended verdict in favor of commercial landlord in breach of contract case.
In re City of Amarillo, No. 07-22-00341-CV, 2023 WL 5279473 (Tex. App.—Amarillo Aug. 16, 2023, pet. dism’d) (mem. op.), successfully represented taxpayer in high-profile appeal, obtaining affirmance of trial court order voiding city ordinance. (Presented oral argument).

Stickland v. Schlegel, No. 02-22-00281, 2023 WL 8112889, (Tex. App.—Fort Worth Nov. 22, 2023, pet. denied) (mem. op.), represented Appellee, presenting oral argument, and successfully obtained affirmance of the denial of a TCPA motion. (Presented oral argument).
Richardson v. Roberts, No. 13-20-00553-CV, 2022 WL 17983062 (Tex. App.—Corpus Christi Dec. 29, 2022) (mem. op.), represented Appellant and successfully obtained reversal of summary judgment in breach of contract case.
