He represents clients defending officer and director liability cases brought by receivers and bankruptcy trustees, as well as adversary actions, contested plan confirmations, executory contract issues, fraud, claims litigation, asset sales, relief from stay, contempt, motions to dismiss or convert, contested asset valuations, contested foreclosures and related business disputes in state and federal courts and private arbitration proceedings, frequently under compressed time frames. Mr. Shields is adept at resolving cases in mediation and keeping our clients’ business objectives at the forefront of the engagement.
