Career
Jason Chan is a Senior Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. He is instructed to act for corporate and high net worth clients in a wide range of contentious matters, including Court litigation, international arbitration, regulatory disputes and confidential investigations.
Prior to joining the Firm, Jason served as a prosecutor and a judicial officer. He was appointed as an Assistant Registrar and District Judge at the Supreme Court of Singapore. Jason also served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor and State Counsel in the Attorney-General’s Chambers of Singapore, and as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Authored the Singapore chapter in numerous publications, including The International Comparative Legal Guide to Corporate Investigations, The Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Review, and The Global Legal Insights to Bribery & Corruption.
Co-authored the Singapore chapter in Lexology Panoramic: Risk & Compliance Management 2024 in Law Business Research.
Co-authored three articles Parliament passes Bill to harmonise and enhance MAS’ investigative and supervisory powers across various Acts; MAS expands scope of regulated payment services, amends ongoing compliance requirements, and introduces user protection requirements for DPT service providers under Payment Services Act 2019; and Financial Services and Markets (Amendment) Act 2023 establishing platform to facilitate sharing customer information among FIs to combat money laundering and terrorism financing in force in the Journal of International Banking and Regulation by Thomson Reuters.

Graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LL.B. (Hons) degree and Columbia University with an LL.M. degree.
