Jim has decades of experience in state and federal courts and is frequently engaged in high-conflict, strategically complex matters involving significant financial exposure, business-control disputes, and challenging factual records.
Clients and co-counsel often retain Jim midstream when litigation becomes trial-intensive, unusually complex, or requires a substantial shift in strategy informed by decades of courtroom experience.
Jim is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and holds national certifications in Civil Trial Advocacy and Civil Practice Advocacy from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He served as President of the National Board of Trial Advocacy from 2020 to 2022 and continues to serve on its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He has been an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 2012.
