Jairo Higuita is a Founding Partner and Director at Esguerra JHR, bringing over 20 years of distinguished experience in Tax Law and Wealth Management. He is widely recognized as a market leader in national and international tax strategy, advisory, and planning, with specialized focus on the financial sector and capital markets.

Throughout his professional career, Jairo has built a comprehensive profile that spans public administration, top-tier private practice, and academia. He previously served at Colombia's National Tax and Customs Authority (DIAN), acquiring deep insights into tax regulation and enforcement. Furthermore, he led tax and legal practice areas at multinational professional services firms before co-founding Jiménez Higuita Rodríguez & Asociados, which evolved into Esguerra JHR.

In academia and thought leadership, Jairo is a distinguished professor for postgraduate programs in Tax Law and the Master’s Degree in Economic Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, as well as the International Tax Management program at Universidad EAFIT.
