Iván Sefer

Practice Areas

Iván leads EY’s Hungarian full-service law firm, which employs more than 30 lawyers, and oversees EY’s regional law practice in neighboring countries, where he regularly advises on complex cross-border mandates.

Iván primarily handles complex transactional and regulatory issues in the fields of banking law, financial law, M&A, capital markets law, and restructuring. He regularly advises on project and acquisition financing, capital market assignments, M&A transactions, company and portfolio acquisitions or sales, restructurings, and financial regulatory matters. 

His clientele consists of large and medium-sized international and domestic companies, as well as high-net-worth individuals and family offices.

Quite uniquely at EY and in the wider market, Iván also leads EY Hungary’s EY-Parthenon business, providing M&A, capital and debt advisory, valuation/modeling, transaction diligence, and strategic consulting services to our clients. He is passionate about maximizing the synergies created by the joint leadership of our transaction advisory and transactional law practices.
