Ismail Yasir

Ismail Yasir, a founding partner at Praxis Law Firm LLP, served for nearly 15 years as primary counsel at the Ministry of Tourism, eventually as Deputy Minister, where he was the principal architect of the industry's core regulations. His extensive background includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Maldives and the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation. Yasir’s practice focuses on tourism law and regulation, where he utilizes his deep understanding of the legal frameworks governing the sector. He is routinely instructed by leading investors for complex mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions. His expertise also extends to banking and finance, securities law, and tax and corporate law compliance. Yasir holds an LLB (Hons) from UWE Bristol.
