Career

Partner at Pumpin, Dorfman, Nassar, Díaz & Cía (PDND). Lawyer from the Universidad de Los Andes. Master's Degree in Maritime Law (LLM), University of Southampton, UK, Throughout his career, he has specialized in commercial law, transportation law, insurance law, and consumer protection law. He supervises the maritime transportation and insurance area at PDND, alongside partners Marcelo Nasser and Gabriel Pumpin, and personally attends to the firm’s main clients. Previously, he founded Pumpin, González & Compañía (2000-2002).

Mr. Díaz has extensive experience in the academic field. He has been a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the Universidad de Chile and has taught courses in maritime law and insurance. He also teaches basic courses in economics and international sales at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, as well as topics related to hazardous materials at DUOC UC, Chile. He is a member of the Chilean Chapter of AIDA and the Chilean Association of Maritime Law
