Hugh is the founder and managing director of Hugh Jones Solicitors. A nationally recognised leader in Court of Protection and mental capacity issues, Hugh has worked in this field for over 30 years and now combines his work as professional deputy with a substantial expert witness practice. A member of the Court approved list of panel deputies Hugh is regularly asked to take on some of the most difficult deputyship cases; recent referrals have included high-profile cases where the clients have been the victims of financial abuse by their previous deputy. Hugh’s expertise is also sought after by over 30 specialist PI and clinical negligence firms nationally (including a large majority of the NHSLA’s panel) to provide advice and statements on all aspects of Court of Protection practice and deputyship/trusteeship costs for catastrophic injury claims.
