Hicham has a broad experience in advising Algerian and international corporations on matters relating to investments in Algeria and foreign exchange control matters. He built a sound M&A transational experience and also assists several companies in their regulatory issues in Algeria notably in the sectors of telecom, infrastructure, construction, maritime transportation / port operation / shipping and transport, automotive, banking and finance, consumer goods, food and retail and pharmaceutical industry.
Hicham is a member of the Blida (Algeria) Bar since 2013. He holds a Master II Research in law of Arab Countries, University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (France) (2007), Master I of Business Law, University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (France) (2006) and Master in private law, Law University of Algiers (2003).
Before joining DLA Piper – BLA - Algiers office (from 2014 to 2017), Hicham was an associate (from 2008 to 2013) in the Algiers office of Gide Loyrette Nouel where he specialized in M&A transactions (including cross-border and setting-up of joint-ventures), customs law, labor law, and litigation in civil and criminal matters.
