Heidi Silton is a seasoned litigator with more than 30 years of experience representing clients in high stakes complex civil litigation. Throughout her career, Heidi has successfully represented clients in antitrust actions, earning her a reputation as a skilled and aggressive advocate for her clients’ interests. Ms. Silton’s experience spans a wide range of industries and markets and includes section 1 and section 2 cases all the way to trial. Her passion for protecting clients’ economic freedom and opportunity by promoting free and fair competition in the marketplace is at the root of her dedication to antitrust enforcement. She is known and respected by courts nationwide and counsel across the country on both the plaintiff and defense side.
Heidi’s approach to litigation is rooted in thorough preparation, creative problem-solving, and a fierce commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients. Heidi is equally comfortable in the courtroom as in negotiations. She is known for her ability to harness substantial amounts of evidence into a compelling narrative for courts or juries, her ability to think on her feet, her attention to detail while balancing many balls in the air, and her never-ending ability to problem solve.
Heidi has been appointed to key leadership roles in several high-profile antitrust cases. She currently serves in leadership in In re Concrete and Cement Additives Antitrust Litigation, Civil No. 1:24-md-03097 (S.D.N.Y.); In re Apple, Inc. Smartphone Antitrust Litigation, Civil No. 2:24-md-03113 (D. N.J.); In re Axon Vievu Antitrust Litigation, Civil No. 3:23-cv-07182 (D. N.J.); In re Granulated Sugar Antitrust Litigation, Civil No. 0:24-md-03110 (D. Minn.) and In re GoodRx and Pharmacy Benefit Manager Antitrust Litigation (II), Civil No. 1:25-md-03148 (D. R.I.), a significant matter involving claims of anticompetitive practices in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, she was recently appointed to a leadership position in In re Frozen Potato Products Antitrust Litigation, Civil No. 1:24-cv-11801 (N.D. Ill.), a case addressing alleged price-fixing in the frozen potato products market. These appointments reflect Heidi’s strong reputation for effective advocacy and her extensive experience managing complex class actions.
In addition to investigating and litigating national and international antitrust cases, Heidi is active in antitrust discussion and policy nationwide and is committed to staying up to date on the latest legal developments and trends. She is the past President of The Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL), an Advisory Board member of the American Antitrust Institute (AAI), and the past chair of AAI’s Private Enforcement Awards Committee. Along with receiving the Hollis Salzman Memorial Leadership Award in 2024 from AAI and COSAL, she now also sits on the judging committee for the honor. Most recently, Heidi was named a 2025 Minnesota Lawyer Top Woman in Law.
Within her firm, Heidi has led the Hiring Committee, the Summer Associate Program, and the Business Development Committee, and currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Heidi is admitted into courts across the country, as well as being licensed to practice in the State and U. S. District Court of Minnesota, and the Seventh Circuit and Eighth Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Heidi continues to be recognized as a thought leader in the antitrust and complex litigation spheres through several speaking engagements. Most recently she was a presenter on Diagonal Agreement at the Cambridge Forum on Antitrust Litigation, a forum for preeminent leaders in their field. As a speaker at the HarrisMartin MDL Conferences, she provides updates on key developments in antitrust litigation. Also, Heidi has also served as a panelist for the American Antitrust Institute several times, contributing her insights on the evolving landscape of class action litigation.
Heidi is committed to community involvement, especially around mentoring and DEI issues, and believes in giving back to the community in meaningful ways. Heidi serves on the boards of Arete Academy and of Reader/Writer, where she is also a writing coach for eighth graders. Heidi has also co-chaired galas to support the Sanneh Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, and Second Harvest.
In her free time, Heidi enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring art, as well as spending time with family.
