Heather is a partner with Gardiner Roberts LLP. She practices in the area of not-for-profit and charity law, advising her clients on a wide range of issues including corporate governance, charitable registration and compliance, real estate, and commercial matters. Her clients include national charities, family foundations, industry associations, local daycares, arts organizations, and religious organizations of diverse faiths.

Personal
Heather is an adjunct professor at the University of Western Faculty of Law where she teaches charitable and not-for-profit law.
Heather is Past Chair of the Ontario Bar Associations Charity and Not-for-Profit Law section and the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association national Charities and Not-for-Profit Law section.
Heather began her legal career as a law clerk at the Federal Court of Appeal in Ottawa, and subsequently taught law in The Gambia, West Africa before starting to practice. Heather has been volunteering for more than 15 years in the charitable and not-for-profit community in Toronto, and currently sits on several volunteer boards.
