Hans Van Bavel specialises in all aspects of company-related criminal law.
Hans has assisted clients in various sectors, such as diamond, banking, transportation, petrochemicals, insurance, telecommunications sector. He represents companies and their directors before Belgian courts including the Supreme Court (for criminal matters) and before the European Court of Human Rights. Hans has substantial experience in cases relating to internal fraud as well. In 2011, he passed the professional competence exam organised by the Order of Supreme Court Lawyers. Hans took an intensive four-year course provided by members of the Supreme Court bar, incumbent magistrates, and magistrates of the 'parquet général' of the Supreme Court. As a result, he can now stand for nomination by the King to become admitted to the Supreme Court bar. This is an honour, since the number of Supreme Court lawyers is limited to twenty in Belgium.
