Member of the following bodies: (I) Advisory Board of ETCO - Brazilian lnstitute for Ethical Competition; (II) Academy of Law in São Paulo; (III) Brazilian Academy of Tax Law. Former Chairman and current member of the lnternational Academy of Law and Economics.

Author of the book "Importing Tax Structure on National Tax Code" (Estrutura do Imposto de Importação no Código Tributário Nacional) and several articles published in specialized books and magazines, including "International Treaties: WTO and MERCOSUR" (Tratados Internacionais: OMC e MERCOSUL), granted best article in tax law (1997).
