She is part of the team of the Environment and Tourism Department, concentrating her practice in regulatory assistance to investment projects in various economic sectors.
Her experience includes advice on telecommunications, industrial property, tourism, environment and regulation, obtainment of licensing and permits for the development and management of real estate and tourism projects.
She graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and has a Master Degree in Sustainable Urban and Territorial Development from the Global Institute of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (IGLOBAL FUNGLODE).
Additionally, she has participated in various workshops and seminars focused on her professional development in different areas such as Administrative Law, Diploma in Law and Environmental Management, among others.
Career
Recently appointed as new partner at the firm, Guily Shemer is responsible for the Departments of Environment and Sustainable Development and Tourism and Hospitality of the firm. She is the managing director for the new Punta Cana Desk of the firm, in charge of all clients located within the east zone of the Dominican Republic.
Her practice focuses on environmental law, urban law, and tourism, although her experience also includes advice on intellectual property and corporate aspects.
With a master’s degree in urban development and Sustainable Territory from the Global Institute of High Studies of Social Sciences (IGLOBAL) she has deepened her vision regarding land planning and development, a fundamental aspect for the firm.
Her most representative clients are Playa Grande Golf & Ocean Club, Moon Palace Punta Cana, Best in Pro, among others.

Her practice focuses on environmental, urban, and land use, as well as corporate matters.
Guily graduated with a law degree from the Law School of Universidad Iberoamericana (Unibe); she was part of the team of the law magazine Gred Unibe and winner of the Environmental Prize given by the University for her participation in the case study of the Vertedero Duquesa, one of the largest open-air dumps in the Dominican Republic.
