Practice Areas

Guily Shemer is a partner at the firm, where she leads the Tourism and Hospitality and Special Tax Regimes departments, while providing strategic support on environmental, urban planning, and sustainable project development matters. She also oversees the firm's client base in the East Zone of the Dominican Republic, advising on complex tourism, real estate, environmental, and regulatory projects.

She holds a Master's degree in Urban Development and Sustainable Territory from the Global Institute of High Studies in Social Sciences (IGLOBAL) and has recently completed a Master's in Environmental Law and Environmental Management from the University of the Basque Country (Universidad del País Vasco). She is currently competing for admission to an Executive MBA program. Her academic background has strengthened her multidisciplinary approach to land-use planning, sustainable development, environmental regulation, tourism, and strategic business advisory.

Guily earned her law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), where she was a member of the GRED UNIBE Law Review and received the university's Environmental Prize for her case study on the Duquesa landfill, one of the largest open-air waste disposal sites in the Dominican Republic.

She also serves as an instructor of Environmental Law at the OMG Institute, where she trains the next generation of Dominican lawyers on the intersection of environmental protection, land-use planning, urban development, and sustainable development
