Guðmundur Siemsen

Gudmundur has been pleading cases before the Icelandic courts since 2003, originally as a criminal prosecutor but from 2007 as a civil litigator, litigating numerous cases on all judicial levels.

Gudmundur provides advice to contracting authorities and tenderers in every stage of a Public Procurement process, from preperation of tender documents and the submission of tenders to the awarding of contracts and performance of public contracts during the contract period. Gudmundur has substantial experience of public procurement litigation, pleading cases before the Public Procurement Complaint Commission and district and appeal court in Iceland.

Gudmundur represents clients in a broad spectrum of matters regarding Real Estate, including purchase and sale negotiations and contracting, real estate development and zoning. His clients include investors, developers, owners and users of real estate.

Gudmundur joined ADVEL in 2007 and became a partner in 2009. Qualified as a District Court Attorney in 2007 and as a Supreme Court Attorney in 2021.
