Career

Greg Smith is US Co-Chair of Projects and Infrastructure at DLA Piper and US Chair of Agency Finance. He focuses on international financing transactions, particularly within emerging markets and developing nations. He represents lenders, host country governments, project sponsors and private equity funds in connection with the development and financing of projects in sectors such as energy, financial services, housing, manufacturing, microfinance, mining, petrochemicals, telecommunications and transportation.

Over the course of his career, Greg has advised clients on transactions across Africa, Central and South Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. He is especially well known as one of the leading lawyers for representing development finance institutions, export credit agencies and multilateral agencies in complex, cross-border project financings.
