Gordan is a partner and head of the Shipping and Admiralty Department at Vukić & Partners, Croatia’s leading commercial and shipping law-firm.
Gordan has taught Maritime Law at the Maritime Faculty of Rijeka, the Law of Shipping Finance at the Rijeka Faculty of Law, and the Maritime Procedural Law at the Split Faculty of Law.

Gordan is the author of a two monographs related to shipping law, including the chapter on Croatia in Kluwer's International Encyclopaedia of Laws - Transport Law.

- On two occasions, Gordan acted as a special legal consultant to the Government of Croatia on restructuring of the Croatian shipbuilding industry. The task covered all aspects of shipbuilding, from concessions in shipyard through state aid to commercial contracts and orderbooks.
- Gordan was a proud member of the drafting committees in charge of the two pivotal pieces of Croatian maritime legislation: the Maritime Code and the Maritime Demesne and Seaports Act.
