Giovanni F Casucci

Giovanni Casucci is a Partner on GA’s Intellectual Property team.

He is widely recognized as a leading lawyer in Italy on IP matters by independent souces.

Giovanni has wealth of experience representing leading corporations before the Italian courts in complex cross-border litigation cases on trade Secrets, Patents, Design and Trademarks also involving antitrust issues - as well advising on technology transfers and licensing.

Giovanni’s practice has been exclusively dedicated to Intellectual Property law for 30+ years.

In January 2026 he joined the firm from EY Italy where he was the Partner at the IP department. He has also previously acted as the Head of Patent Litigation in Dentons, Managing Partner of Bardehle Pagenberg - Italy and as Head of IP - Clifford Chance in Italy.

Giovanni is also very active in the education of the next generation of IP professionals as a specialist IP lecturer and Co-Director of courses at the University Politecnico Milan - of note the UPC European Patent Litigation Course.

He is member of IPR Helpdesk China (since 2006), IPR2, and IPKeys - involved in studies and training initiatives in Europe and China.

Giovanni is the Republic of San Marino's external advisor for IP issues - and contributed to the adoption of their IP Code (2005) and currently involved in the new drafting of the Intellectual Property Code.

Giovanni is Vice President of LES Italy, Vice President of the Camera degli Avvocati Industrialisti, member of the EPLAW advisory board, member of the ECTA Patent Commitee and member of AIPPI.
