Gia R. Sands is a partner of the firm who specializes in corporate and commercial law. Her expertise spans legal matters that involve real property, admiralty and maritime, immigration, and tax and trade laws. She is Vice-Chair of the firm’s Admiralty, Shipping and Aviation practice group.

Gia attended the University of Toronto in Canada, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She then completed her Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of London in England. Gia proceeded to complete the Bar Vocational Course at BPP in London, and also completed a Masters of Law Degree at University College London. She was called to the English Bar in July 2011 and was admitted to The Bahamas’ Bar during the same year.

Gia’s core values include honesty, diligence, respect, optimism, and family. Her proactive approach to life is reflected in her work, and she has fostered a reputation for being a hard-working, reliable, and personable attorney. What makes Gia special however is the fact that she enjoys building relationships that go beyond what is simply required for the “job.” As her clients can attest, Gia’s priorities revolve around getting results and reaching favorable outcomes.
