Gerardo Ramírez Ornelas is the founding partner of our firm since its inception in 2001. He graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he earned his law degree. His thesis was titled "Los Órganos del Proceso de Quiebra" (The Bodies of the Bankruptcy Process).

Experience

Gerardo is renowned for specializing in commercial litigation, with particular expertise in bankruptcy matters. Over more than forty years, he has provided invaluable counsel in complex litigation and insolvency proceedings, advising significant business and financial groups in Mexico. His contributions extend to active participation on behalf of the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial in the Law of Commercial Insolvency drafting committee and as a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (Insol) since 1989.

In addition to his impressive legal career, Gerardo Ramírez Ornelas has dedicated his knowledge and experience to educating future legal professionals. He has served as a professor at esteemed law schools throughout the country. Currently, he holds a professorship in the master’s degree program in Private Law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho as a teacher of the bankruptcy course.
