Career

Gerardo holds a law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho and a Master's degree in Financial Law Institutions from Universidad Panamericana.

He has taught Constitutional Procedural Law and Amparo at the undergraduate level and has participated in various forums, conferences, and panels related to combating corruption and impunity, strategic litigation, human rights, and corporate integrity. He is currently a professor in the Master's program in Anti-Corruption at Universidad Panamericana.

In his professional career, he has worked as a litigator at Barrera Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C. (now Hogan Lovells BSTL) and White & Case, S.C. Moreover, he served as the Director of the Legal Department at the NGO Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity from January 2017 to October 2021.

He is the co-founder of the National Council of Strategic Litigation, A.C., coordinator of the Constitutional Law and Amparo Committee of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers (ANADE), and founding partner of the law firm Soledad & Carrasco Abogados.

Gerardo's native language is Spanish and he is fluent in English.
