Georgia‘s practice areas are tax, employment, and sports law. She is particularly highly regarded in the field of employment-related taxes, including: employment status; IR35; taxation of damages and termination payments. She represents a range of private clients (media journalists, football clubs, referee associations, radio DJs) as well as HMRC. Notable recent tax cases include: Kickabout Productions Limited v HMRC [2022] EWCA Civ 502, [2022] All ER (D) 02 (May); HMRC v Professional Game Match Officials Ltd [2021] EWCA Civ 1370; Tottenham Hotspur v HMRC [2018] 4 WLR 17; R (oao Glencore) v HMRC [2017] 4 WLR 213.
An accomplished advocate, she regularly appears in multi-day hearings in employment and tax cases, both led and instructed in her own right.
