From 1985 to 1986, he was a lecturer of law at Shanghai Maritime University and assistant lawyer at Shanghai Law Office for Maritime Affairs. From 1989 to 2000, Mr. Yu worked at the New York and Hong Kong offices of the US law firm Healy & Baillie (now merged with Blank Rome) and was promoted as partner in 1995. As of 2001, Mr. Yu established Sloma & Co. in China as the founding partner.
Membership: American Bar Association, Shanghai Bar Association, Councilor of China Maritime Law Association.
Genrong Yu graduated from Anhui Normal University with a B.A. degree in English Language and Literature in l982 and received an LL.M. degree in International Economic Law from Shanghai Maritime University in l985. Between 1986 and 1989, Mr. Yu studied at University of Maine School of Law in the United States, and obtained a J.D. degree.
