Gary has practiced UK-inbound immigration, nationality and refugee law for almost 30 years and leads a 15-strong legal team who undertake a full range of immigration work.
Gary has recognised expertise in guiding businesses, from start-ups to multi-nationals, through sponsor licencing and related regulatory processes. He is also noted for his work in the arts and entertainment sector and with high-net-worth individuals, with particular focus on the global talent category. He continues to handle complex asylum and deportation work.
Based in Manchester, Gary regularly works from Latitude Law's London and Brussels offices.

* Gary is a Solicitors Regulation Authority Immigration Supervisor.
* As well as being a practicing solicitor in the UK since 2000, Gary is a registered foreign lawyer with the Brussels Francophone Bar and regularly works from Latitude Law's subsidiary office in Brussels servicing EU clients as well as from the satellite office in London.
* Since 2012, Gary has been the Chair of Trustees of the Electronic Immigration Network (EIN), a charity providing information services in the immigration sector.
* Gary is an international associate of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and, in recent years, has contributed to panels at the organisation's global and European conferences. He was bestowed as a member of the Congress of Fellows for the Center for International Legal Studies (CILS), in recognition of his work as a faculty member at their conferences.
* Gary is the elected Deputy Chair of the Lawyer's Section of the UK200 Group, a leading professional services group of independent, quality assured chartered accountancy and law firms.
* He is a patron of RAPAR, a Manchester-based refugee charity.
* Gary is a member of the Bank of England's Decision-Makers' Panel, regularly contributing his insight as the leader of a boutique law firm.
* He is patron of Salam DHR, a Middle-East-focussed human rights charity working on issues including statelessness and the deprivation of citizenship in Gulf states.
