Flip Wijers

Flip specializes in advising on and litigating corporate disputes.

He has a deep understanding of procedural law, is a highly skilled strategist and relies on a vast amount of experience representing clients in complex litigation, very often with a cross-border angle.

Flip co-heads the firm’s class action practice together with Jurjen Lemstra and advises on collective settlements (WCAM) and collective action claims (WAMCA). The firm is internationally recognized as one of the leading Dutch firms in the field of collective actions, as its Band 1 ranking confirms.

As an expert in corporate disputes, governance disputes as well as the duty of care of financial institutions, he is a trusted advisor for many management boards and supervisory boards. In addition, Flip is often requested to act as co-counsel in litigation where multiple parties require representation. Finally, Flip regularly represents other law firms in disputes with (ex-)partners, in which context discretion, strategy and excellent communication skills are key requirements.

Flip Wijers co-founded the Amsterdam dispute resolution firm Lemstra Van der Korst in 2010. He is currently part of the firm’s management.

Flip regularly publishes in his field of expertise, is a founder and board member of the Dutch Class Action Association VVMA and a member of the Association of Corporate Litigation.
