Flavio has extensive experience in corporate and civil litigation, judicial recovery, and restructuring proceedings. In the last 20 years, he has been the lead counsel in some of the most important corporate disputes in Brazil. He has also worked on behalf of creditors, debtors, and investors interested in acquiring distressed assets. He has been involved in some of the most significant insolvency cases in Brazil over the last decade since the new legislation was enacted. Flavio is also a specialist in Brazilian law before foreign courts.

He is one of the founding partners of Galdino, Pimenta, Takemi, Ayoub, Salgueiro, Rezende de Almeida.
Education: Flavio holds an LL.B. (1997), an LL.M. (2002), and a Ph.D. in Public Law (2008) from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ.
Professional Memberships
He is a tenured Professor of Civil Procedural Law at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ and has been a visiting Professor at several prestigious Law Schools. In addition, Flavio is the author of several books and articles published in Brazil and abroad, referenced by many Courts, including the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF). He is an effective elected member of the Brazilian Bar Association - OAB/RJ Council (2006) and a member of several boards of examiners for civil service entrance exams. Flavio is also the former president of the Committee on Legal Education of the Brazilian Bar Association – OAB.
