Career
Felipe Barreto Veiga is the founder and Managing Partner of BVA – Barreto Veiga Advogados and a senior partner in the firm’s M&A, Private Equity, Debt Capital Markets and Venture Capital practices. He is widely recognized as one of Brazil’s most active transactional lawyers, having led hundreds of domestic and cross-border transactions involving complex strategic acquisitions, private equity investments, venture financings and high-profile corporate restructurings.
Felipe regularly advises Brazilian and international clients — including privately held and publicly listed companies, startups, investment funds, banks, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and high/ultra-high net worth individuals — on mid-cap and high-value transactions across a broad range of industries, with particular strength in technology, digital economy, financial services, infrastructure and growth-driven consolidations and roll-up strategies. His practice includes a significant number of cross-border deals, representing Brazilian clients in outbound transactions and foreign investors acquiring or investing in Brazilian assets.
