Favian Tan has extensive experience advising on the full spectrum of merger and acquisitions transactions, including public take-overs and privatisations, REIT related mergers and acquisitions, business and asset sales, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, as well as advising on corporate restructurings, and general corporate matters.

Landmark public take-over transactions which he has advised on include the first competing takeover by way of a scheme of arrangement in Singapore and the first REIT/Trust merger in Singapore. He specialises in managing and advising on complex cross-border deals across Asia and beyond and works closely with all our regional offices, especially in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.

He actively advises, and works seamlessly with our other practice groups, on corporate transactions relating to real estate/REITs, transport, energy and infrastructure, as well as the TMT sector. His clients are typically institutional investors, private equity firms, large cap listed companies, REIT managers and trustees, and financial institutions.
