Career
Emanuel Băncilă is a Senior Partner with Băncilă, Diaconu și Asociații SPRL and he is the Tax Policy and Controversy Leader of EY in Romania. Emanuel coordinates projects related to the management of tax dispute resolution and litigation. His professional experience covers challenging and suspending fiscal administrative acts, licenses, authorizations, permits and fines imposed by fiscal authorities, litigations regarding various administrative acts, public procurement procedures, commercial disputes, as well as executing and/or challenging enforcement procedures. Emanuel has assisted several clients in the EU Arbitration Convention proceedings aimed at eliminating the double-taxation. Bloomberg Transfer Pricing Report of July 2016 was dedicated to the first landmark ruling obtained by Emanuel in a transfer pricing dispute. Emanuel has been constantly nominated as one of the leading tax controversy practitioners in Romania.
