Elvis Martínez Ríos is the Managing Partner of ARCA Nicaragua, a boutique law and financial advisory firm based in Managua. His practice focuses primarily on dispute resolution, with additional experience in corporate, tax, customs and regulatory matters.

Complex commercial and civil disputes: Representation of corporate and business clients in complex civil and commercial disputes, including judicial proceedings, enforcement matters, interim measures and asset recovery strategies.

Judicial enforcement and asset recovery:Representation of creditors in judicial enforcement proceedings involving the recovery and preservation of assets, attachment measures, judicial intervention and challenges arising during enforcement proceedings.

Tax and customs disputes:Advising and representing corporate clients in disputes with the Nicaraguan tax and customs authorities, including administrative challenges, evidentiary strategy and proceedings concerning tax and customs assessments.

Regulatory disputes and administrative proceedings: Representation and strategic advice in proceedings involving regulatory authorities, including the preparation of administrative challenges, evidentiary submissions and negotiation strategies aimed at resolving disputes before escalation to judicial proceedings.

Corporate and contractual disputes: Advising companies and business groups in disputes arising from commercial agreements, corporate relationships, shareholder matters and contractual performance.

Cross-border business disputes: Advising international and regional business groups on disputes and legal proceedings arising from their operations in Nicaragua, coordinating local strategy with foreign counsel where appropriate.

Experience advising companies and business groups across a range of sectors, with particular emphasis on retail, financial services and fintech, real estate, consumer goods, technology, hospitality and manufacturing. His sector experience is particularly relevant to complex commercial, regulatory, tax and customs disputes arising from business operations in Nicaragua.
