Elçin Karatay

Elçin is working with some of the largest technology developers and innovators working in Turkish market. Her clients consists of public IT companies, banks, financial institutions, international software firms, emerging startups and technology investment firms. She is committed to always offering clients innovative and strategic legal advice.

Elçin has vast knowledge on IT contracts, both from license and implementation perspective and partnership area. Previous year, she has been involved with more than 20 major IT projects and 15 mergers and acquisition process. Elçin also provides advise to non-profit organizations and governmental institutions and involved with law making procedures.

Elçin is the Managing Partner of Solak&Partners Law Firm, since 2017 and acts as the head of the blockchain and regulatory working groups of FinTR (Financial Innovation and Technologies Association). She has previously worked for one of the largest full service law firms in Turkey, which is known for its banking and finance practice. Elçin also acted as advisors and independent members to IT companies.

Elçin has graduated with honors from Koç University Law School with a minor in Economics, has an LL.M. and is expecting a PhD degree from Galatasaray University.
